I just went back and read your original post and see that you want to install a TV Tuner card which is something that won't work in XP Mode. If the machine has Win 7 Home Premium, it could be upgraded to Pro or Ultimate much easier than downgraded to XP. The virtual machine will install with all the necessary drivers.
